Why it dominates cam rooms

The Lush is an egg-shaped wearable with an external antenna. That design is the whole reason it outnumbers every other connected device on cam: a handheld toy occupies a hand, and a performer running a four-hour broadcast needs both.

It pairs over Bluetooth to the performer's computer, where broadcasting software watches the tip feed and converts incoming amounts into vibration patterns. Nothing happens manually, which is why the reaction looks instant to everyone watching.

What it is like from the viewer side

You need nothing. The device sits with the performer; your side is a tip button and a menu listing which amounts trigger which response.

Most rooms use thresholds rather than a smooth scale. At eight to eleven cents per token depending on package size, the lowest band in a typical menu costs somewhere between one and three dollars.

Who actually buys one

Two groups. Performers, for the reason above. And couples using the app's long-distance control, which works the same way but with one person holding the phone instead of a room full of people tipping.
